Rendering issues

Hello,

I'm trying to render a stereo cubemap using Octane. The image is 1536x18432 and here is a vertical "slice" of that image for illustration purposes:

This took 1hr 57mins to render then just seemed to stop.

Is there a way to get a better quality render? Does this time length sound like what you'd expect for this quality of image? I'm using 2xTitan XP's and expected things to be clearer/faster.

Hello, thanks for the reply. Are you able to right click on the image and get the URL that way? I can do that even though I can't see the image embedded in the post. I thought this was a forum limitation rather than a problem with the link.

I had a vray light in the scene which I think was slowing things down.

Is there a point at which a still image stops rendering, or does Octane really just keep iterating and smoothing out speckles etc?

Hi mytherapy,
You can not use vray light in Octane Render, eventually you have to convert them, using material converter tool in OctaneRender setup.
Personally, I recommend creating directly Octane Light and, even better, using Black body Emission node with very simple geometries.

You could increase, if you can, parallel sample; Decrease GI clamp; Increase Caustic blur.
I also recommend using Adaptive sampling:
