Hello, probably this question has already been made.
I tried to do a quick search but did not find what I was looking for.
Is it possible with OC to create an image that can be used with Samsung gearVR or the like?

Hi Daniele,
the 18k resolution is referred of stereo Cube map, and the resolution is 18.432x1.536 pixels, while in mono mode is 9.216x1.536 pixels.
In the Panoramic Camera node, set the mode to Cube Map, in the Stereo mode 'Side by side', and the resolution reported above.
6000x3000 pixels is a 2:1 resolution tipical of the Spherical/Equitectangulalar mode, more suitable for Facebook VR, while on Gear VR it is better to use the Cube Map format, for best results.
Happy VR Rendering,
ciao beppe

Hi Daniele,
in general, it depends from the devices that you are using to have your VR experience. If you are on Gear VR with splited display for the two eyes, it does not have much sense to not use the stereo mode. While, if you are using an iPad to watch your VR in Facebook, it does not have much sense to render in stereo mode.
