Hello,

we have made a simple C4D Octane light setup for Area/Shape, Spot- and Sunlight, HdriSky and a Seamless Floor setup. Maybe you find it useful.

Have to say, for someone like me that is new to all this 3D malarkey, this type of tool is brilliant. I can great results quickly and then also learn what is going on under the bonnet.

Thanks guys

Great Work Daniel!

This is my favorite Octane light rig so far. I really like the lighting tool and solo options.

There are two bugs I found so far (tested on win8.1/ R17.055 / Octane 3.06.2):

1) Switching between lighting mode and an activated target object breaks the rig.
But It seems this is not only an issue with your rig. Sstandard C4D Target-Lights have the same Issue.
Maybe you could disable one function if the other is enabled...

2) The solo function sometimes stops working. I am not shure what causes this exactly, but it has to do with adding/deleting several lights from a scene.

3) Not quite shure if this is a bug.
But when using a texture inside the spotlight (aka gobo) the coordinates of the projection seem a little bit of compared to the spec light generated by the light (bulb).

I would love to see you team up with https://www.pingo.nu/hdr-studio-lights/ and make an awsome bundle ;)

Keep up the good work!
