the 2 last images ware made with an old pc with only one gtx 480
the first was made with my new one with both gpu active.
Why you think the last two are very sharp and the first one has a fog effect ?
Both scenes have just about the same configurations (pathtrasing and texture enviroment )
i don't know.?? actually the last ones are the best i ever made and i don't know how i did them.
The images cooked really fast and the ware very clear even at 1200 sample or so.

I'm not sure here, because I'm no artist, but it looks to me that most of your surfaces are quite glossy and because of that you get this "washed out", foggy effect: Light from the window gets reflected on the way too shiny floor, which then gets bounced off the reflective cupboards and the super-shiny beige cupboard doors on the left.

I guess the main culprit is the floor. Make it a lot less reflective.
