Update selected objects only on GPU

It would be great if there was a way to update selected objects rather than sending the entire scene, including large textures, back to the GPU. This way, when you're working on one piece of geometry, you don't have to wait minutes to get an update. A right click sub-menu seems like a handy way to implement the UI: "Update selected objects"
