I have looked all over the internet and forums and can not find the answer for this.

If I have a Stand Alone copy of Octane on my computer. Do I need the Octane plugin for Maya?

If I have Octane renderer on my Renders Nodes. Do I need Octane Plugin for Maya?

If you submit the job to dealine from octane standalone then all you need is octane standalone on your pc and slaves.
If you submit the job from Maya to deadline then you need both the stand alone and plugin version of octane on all the slaves
