Hey
Is it possible to have support for Proximal Shader in C4D please. :D

This video explain really well how powerful and useful it will be. ( supper useful for making marks on roads )

It's not possible to sample CPU shaders in GPU.

Thanks for quick reply aoktar.
So in that case will we get something similar from octane render ? I think it's quite a practical shader. Thanks

We need to wait OSL version then we'll look for custom nodes.

Hi rifat,
in the meantime, for some effects, you can use the Octane Dirt shader instead of the Proximal shader.
You cannot specify which object have the effect, but since it react to geometry, even if hidden, it can be used for a lot of interesting effects.

Hey thanks for reply aoktar and bepeg4d

It's a good tip, however it's not exactly what I need, I guess I'll just wait for 3.1 come out with OSL.
