Limit Texture Size

Hey guys,

is there a way to limit the texture size, octane loads to the gpu?
If i have a 4K map i would like to tell octane to load only a 2k version of it in to the ram.

In blender there is a "simplify" option to limit all textures for the raytracer. Somethin like that would be amazing.
Or maybe an "per shader" option like it is used for the viewport texture resolution.

Cheers Daniel

I'm certain this could simplify things but then again I'm used to just downscale a version of my textures in PS if I need to.

Bumping this thread up. Is there away to determine the max texture size which is shoved into the GPU? Let's say I have a 8K texture but during rendering want to size it down to 4k to for performance? In unity you can handle it that way for example.
