Rendering with multiple GPU help

Hello,

I have read that Octane is capable of utilizing more than 1 GPU in a pc, however in my case octane has not used my second gpu. I am using Octane VR.

I have 2x GPU

1- msi gtx 1080ti - 2 monitors plugged in
1- nvidia quadro k2000

When I render the status is only showing the 1080ti card and my monitors become laggy. I read the lag is due to my gfx card being used by the renderer and I should probably plug my monitors into the k2000 card and use the 1080ti card for rendering. I would like to use the power of both cards to render, but I can't find in the documentation or online how to set that up. So far all I have come across in the documentation is how to set up network rendering, which is not available in Octane VR. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks.

Hi chrism9870,
OctaneVR subscriptions have A maximum of 2 GPU’s limitations.
If Octane Render does not recognize k2000, I guess you're using windows 10.
Windows 10 officially does not support different cards simultaneously,
in your case you are using a kepler GPU and Pascal GPUs together, this under windows 10 is practically impossible.
If you want to use K2000 and 1080TI together, only solution is windows 7.
My advice is to use K2000 for monitors and os, avoiding delays and lacks and 1080TI with Octane Render.
K2000 has 2GB Vram and it makes no sense to use K2000 and 1080TI together, K2000 would limit the Vram used by Octane Render to 2GB instead of using 11GB.
