Hello fellow octaners,

I'm currently using a single gtx 970 palit and considering to upgrade my pc into dual gtx 970. I recently discovered that palit is extremely hard to find here. Is it okay to use different brand with the same 4gb? Will it work as dual gpu and reduce my render time by half on octane?

I see no problems at all to use different brands of GPU in the same setup, as far as you motherboard and bios doesn't screw up, thing that it's very rare and shouldn't happen in the first place. You can even use different GPU family in the same setup, like GTX1080 and GTX970 for instance.

Thank you for the reply. I don't see 1080 as an option right now,it's way out of my budget but is in my wishlist.
