Is it possible to apply Octane Scatter object to surface selection somehow?

Hey bud, if I'm understanding your question correctly all you need to do is drop object into that surface channel. so you have your scatter you have a plane and you have a sphere if you want the sphere to be scattered accross the plane. click scatter(already parented to sphere) drag plane into the surface channel.

Thank for your reply.
I want not just scatter a sphere across the plain, scatter it across
Some defined polygons which are marked by polygon selection tag.
Unfortunately, I'm not near the computer now and can send screenshot only later today.

Use a vertex map. Under parameters, halfway down the picture you attached.

I recently learned from a Beeple video how much faster Octane Scatter is than cloner. Pretty awesome.
