Hey Guys,
So I followed this tutorial
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pTMl5G5sJU
And downloaded the vdb from
http://www.openvdb.org/download/ I used the Smoke2.vdb
And I posted the results I was getting between octane and modo... They are completely different. Just wondering why that might be? In the tutorial they look the same.
I am using modo 902 sp3 and the octane render version OctaneRender 3.06 TEST 4 (3060003)
Thanks for any input.

I also cant get an export from houdini to work in modo. But it works perfectly fine in c4d. All I did was import a vdb item in c4d. I have the correct setup as before but nothing loads in modo.
Left is c4d
Middle is houdini (manta)
Right is modo
All the same file.
(Obviously I messed with the texture a bit on the c4d one)

Hi - I have re-written the VDB loader in the next release of the plugin, so pls try with that. I will post the pre-release in the next 15 mins.

I got the updated plugin and still having the same problem.
I also tried the ORBX proxy way based off the manual and still get nothing. I might be upgrading to modo 11 soon and hopefully that solves some of my problems. I will keep you posted.
Actually I think I just got it. I had to save the scene as a package, not right click save. I am going to keep exploring the proxy route.

In my opinion, your problem was caused by Modo's version.
As far as i know, Houdini use openvdb 3.0. And Modo 10 can't read openvdb 3.0 and Modo 11 can.
Here're my images from openvdb website smoke2.
Left is modo render, middle is O.S, right is Octane render Modo plugins.
Each version are modo 11 O.S 3.06, Octane Modo is 3.6.1.120
I hope these help to solve your problem.
