New to Octane - issues.

Hi,
I'm really new to Octane, i.e. I've just installed a demo version.
To learn I'm here on the forum but I hit upon some issues.
1) Where in the forum is there a SEARCH function - I'd like to learn more about the hardware requirements and I'm sure that's been asked a LOT already !
2) I tried running the benchmark but it said No Supported GPU found !!!
I'm running a single NVidia GTX 1080ti Founders Edition and it can't find that ? (Windows 7).
Also,
3) I can't see anywhere in the User Control Panel how to add a Signature.
Any help on all of the above would be much appreciated.

hi, JexEMIN.
let's reply some of Your questions.
once You login into this forum, on top You should see the panel:
apart from search field also buttons like active topics are pretty useful as You can get to look through latest topics rather then trying to search them in forums.
As for benchmark, there is no official release yet that supports Pascal based GPUs (like 1080/1070 or 1080Ti), but You can use hacked/tweaked build, from
here, just keep in mind to consider it's results with grain of salt.
& hey, welcome to forums. Let us know if You would have any more questions.
Sinc.

Hi Tom (ps, it's Jez, not Jex

).
Ahhh, that's the problem, you don't get the SEARCH in Google Chrome (at least, I don't - tried it in Firefox and it works fine).
I'd like to attach a signature too, to my messages, is that possible ?
Finally, I'd like to learn more about Octane, more about the company - where would I find out about that ?
Many thanks.
Jez

ou, sorry, Jez..that was a spelling due to sleepy fingers =D
for changing signature, please press: User Control Panel (button), from Overview (dropdown) choose Profile & then from Edit Profile (dropdown) choose Edit Signature.
Strange issue with chrome, as I use that most of time & search is always there. Thanks for reporting, will keep that in mind.
As for company, this forum & ageing site is more or less what OTOY has for now (but I heard some new stuff is coming).
Overall I could invite You to join
facebook group. You will see much more works, as artist do share a lot & then like minded people are just great to have a chat with - subjectively, I think it's the best way to know more about not only about company, but also about the community as well.

Hi,
That's the problem, the Signature simply isn't there.......
Tried in both Chrome and FF, so issue, simply isn't there.

Could it be because I am a new forum user ?
Or maybe because I am not a customer just yet ?
I can't even attach an image file......

ou, that might be the case. A while ago we had here quite a bit of spam and thus some changes were made with moderating at least first few post - so some functionality might be restricted due that, but I'm not 100% sure.
Anyway, stay tuned, let's keep the conversations & we'll see as we go!
For now at least search functionality is working. However I would like to note, that some of information is hidden from not licenced user - keep that in mind.

Couldn't add my benchmark score to that link you sent me (as I'm not a customer, yet

) = but my single 1080ti got 192. I'm picking a 2nd card later this week so should see some nice scores
I'm pretty sure I'll be buying a copy of Octane - it's got good reviews and as a solution for my needs, it suits me well
Many thanks.
