circular ramp ?

Hello,

I guess this a really octane specific question but as we can't use the houdini's color yet it would be useful to know how to generate a circular gradient, say from the center of plane to the borders.

Hi,

This is a good question. I'm not sure how to get a procedural radial gradient in Octane. The falloff or the gradient nodes don't have a parameter to get the distance to a point or axis. Let me think about it ...

Hello,

The only way I found was this (by reproducing the c4d plugin preset), difficult to set up precisely though.

Yes, it is a good idea. Thanks for sharing it!

I hope that once we have the OSL feature in place, this kind of tools could be easily written.
