Displacement issue

I am displacing a plane object with a heightmap at 8192 (file resolution as well as the setting in octane). However, I am met with very odd artifacts when doing so.
The displacement file is a 16 bit .tiff heightmap. Using 16 bit .png diffuse map and normal map.
I get these weird artifacts when zooming in close to the terrain. When you zoom out, it's fine, because the artifacts are small enough that far shots are easy to work around, however, with close shots, it's a different story (see attached image).
Does anyone know why this is happening?
For reference, I have tried this in Blender using Cycles and it displaces jut fine there, as well as in C4D using the built in renderer. It's just in Octane that I run across this issue.

Hi artech7,
there is a new Filter option for Displacement available from v3.06 Test 2 version:

You know, Octane displacement is different from other renderer, maybe with a bit of Filter you should be able to remove those artifacts.
In v3.06t2 Standalone release notes you can find some example images of the Filter in action:

Hey,
Big Octane noob, so please bare with me. I have Octane VR 3.06.2 inside of C4D.
I'm following this tutorial from GSG:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2DEjSyYfEpE&t=9m53s
At 9:53, he adds an Octane Displacement within his displacement. When I go in my C4doctane menu, there is no "Displacement" option to be found.
In the 3.06.2 changelog, I see:
- Displacement: Filter parameters.
What does that mean? Was the option moved somewhere else, or just removed?
Thanks a ton!
Edit: I'm also aware that I could have made a new thread for this, but since we're talking about the Displacement for v3.06 Test 2 version, I thought I'd post here.

I JEEK,
the only particularity that I saw in the video, is that the material is a Mix-Material.
With Mix-Material, you cannot use the Displacement pin in the Materials connected with the Mix-Material, but you need to use its own pin.
Please, use the node graph to better visualize and create the necessary nodes, instead to use the old c4d attribute editor workflow.
About the filter parameter, you should see it in the preferences of the Displacement node:

Thanks again
