Info Pass output not same as LV

Hey guys,

I'm having an issue where the Info Passes (in this case the Zdepth and Motion Vector pass) are not outputting the same as they are displayed in the Live Viewer.

For example, when I set my Zdepth pass in the Live Viewer, it looks like this.

But when I read it in Nuke, it looks like this.
Zdepth_No_Grade_01.jpg
I can get it to look correct by adding a Grade node and setting the Multiply value to ~ .002, and then everything is good to go.

But Motion Vector is also an issue. This is how it appears in the Live Viewer.

And how it appears in Nuke.

When used as is with the VectorBlur node, the results are entirely off. Instead of being horizontal, the blur is mostly vertical. I was also able to bring this back into semi-correct values with the Grade node, but without knowing what is going on, i can really only approximate the correct result.

Plus, having to correct these and then shuffle them back in to my Beauty pass is getting kind of tedious. (Side note: As far as I can tell, the Beauty and all associated passes do output correctly.)

Here is a look at my settings:

I found this thread viewtopic.php?f=27&t=50244 that seems to have a similar problem, but they are using 3DS Max and as far as I can tell, it doesn't really help me with my problem.

Thanks everyone! Hopefully I can get this cleared this up.

Cheers

Because LV results are tonemapped. It means they are normalized for RGB by max-z value.
You need to use linear results and apply some filter for Z-depth. And don't expect same result for position also. It's again tonemapped in LV. You'll find some information in manual and forums.
