Displcement problem

HI
We have a box and a very bright sun outside power is around 10. When displacement is not used it is pitch black inside the box like it is supposed to be. But with displacement you can see it is bright. Somehow sun rays get inside the box even though no visible cracks because of displacement is it a bug? Thank you

Hi coilbook,
I found no issue.
You should adjust the Mid level in displacement and ray epsilon.

Hi

I attached max file for you guys. As you can see it is a closed box. Camera is inside the box but you can see the light inside of it even though you are not supposed to. When displacement is not used it is pitch black like it is supposed to be.
We adjusted mid level where each side overlaps (see image) but you can still see light inside the box

Hi coilbook,
I think not be an issue, the surface with a displacement map is not a real surface, so the light would go through.
Higher the level of displacement, more light goes through.
Perhaps protresti solve this issue, using a proper unwrap, or by a box inside a box.
Try to play with the attached scene.

By the way, can you make an option where displaced surface is considered a surface and does not light through. Plus it should be more physically accurate when object does not let light through
