Hi,

I´m about to get a new computer. I now have LW + Octane 2.x installed on my current computer.

I´m planning to update to Octane 3 on the new computer and install it fresh.
What will happen when I purchase the single license update and install Octane 3 to my new computer?:
- Octane 3 will not run until I uninstall the old Octane from old computer?
- Octane 3 will run simultaneously even if I have and use Octane 2 running with old computer?
- Both Octanes 3&2 will run on both computers but not if used at the same time?


And completely different quick question to Juan:
I asked this on LW-Octane facebook page but got no answer. You mentioned that Adaptive Sampling will be on next release. Is there some downside to use AS, because there is a way to turn it off? Isn´t it always a good thing to use it? Why would it be turned off sometimes?

At least in one computer Octane 2 and Octane 3 can run at the same time, but I suppose that both licenses can't work in two computers at the same time.

The adaptive sampling introduces some kind of "bias" to the unbiased nature of Octane. Perhaps it could introduce some kind of artifacts in complex animated sequences, and anyway it is a new and experimental feature, so it is good to have an option to disable it in the case of issues, and to be sure that Octane 3.06 is backward compatible with the older 3.0 versions.
