Hi,

but this is not true!

I have 3 licenses and after removing one PC I want to start the slave on
a new built PC. But that is definately the 3. one.
So I have 3 Computers and 3 licenses

Whats wrong?

Hi, Mike.

Please log into Your account on OTOY & release those licences. At least check if they are free. Sometimes for some licences do not get released, because the program do not turn off or licencing server is not reached /maybe some firewall or server issue/ etc.

So, make sure those licences are in a shape to be used.

Hi Tom,

all three licenses have status "unlook"
Not sure what this means. So they should be usable or do
I need to click on to unlook them, because the other 2 PCs are working?

Or do I need to unlook all 3 licenses?
I have only 5 left (not sure what this means)

I paid for 3 licenses and I want to get 3 licenses!

Hi Mike,
on OctaneLive you can check the name of the machine where the licenses are active, and use the Unlock button for the old machine only.
In this way you should be able to activate on the new machine. The counter will be reduced by one and will be reset after a certain period of time.
Alternatively, if you still have access to the old machine, you can start one of the latest Standalone and sign-out from the Account window. In this way, all the active licenses in the specific machine will be deactivated.

Just unlock one of the licenses so it's again available. Usually licenses are released automatically but if you happen to switch off your computer and the host application or Octane were not closed gracefully that might have caused that.

sorry guys but I don't understand!

Now all 3 licenses have status "unlock" but I still cannot start slave or
standalone on the second PC.

What should I do?
Should I turn off all 3 PCs and restart them all?

Thought that the new licensing-system make things easier.

Hi, Mike,

When You see this red button near Your licence it means that Your licence is in use. or if You're are not using it, that it hasn't been unlocked properly (there might be different reasons).

If You want to use network rending You need to install install daemon (You should find this with standalone installation)
it will ask You few questions & then You render node will be ready
so, if Your all licence are in use, 1st make sure You're not using them by accident - let's say software is still opened on any other device.
if You checked that, press on UNLOCK button to release licence.

* Keep in mind that You have 5releases before You need to get in touch with OTOY to have more of them.
If You turn off Your system & program, this should release licences automatically,
please make sure it works as intended by checking status online.

I'm getting nervous now!!!!

As before I have 3 PCs One Main WS and Slave 1 and Slave 2
I changed Slave 2 with a new PC

After the first license error message I unlocked Slave 2 (the new one)
and the result was, that Slave 1 got deactivated.

I then unlocked Slave 2 with the result that I got status "unklock" for all 3 PCs again,
but now I get the license-error-message on Slave 1
I have shut down all 3 PCs now and I deinstalled all slave deamons and again reinstalled all
deamons.

But I still get license-error-message on Slave 1 !!!!!!!!

I have lots of renders to do and if one slave fails .....

Like months before I still have 3 PCs and 3 Licenses

please help!

super!

still cannot activate Slave 1 again!
On the last remaining Slave 2 (the new built) I now get tons of errors.
I thing about jumping out of the window!


this is on Slave 1
"it sais, that all 3 licenses (3,3) are in use , but only 2 are listed"
What the hell ....
