GPU suggestion

Hi guys.
To make it short:

I need to buy another GPU for my setup. Recently I purchased EVGA 980Ti HYBRID and I'm very happy with this card.
Unfortunatelly these cards are off the market as I see, and can't find a seller to get one.

I'm thinking of 1070 Hybrid.
Do you have any fresh benchmarks for this card? How does it cooperate with Octane? Is there any user using this card and can share some experiences? And most of all: how fast is it compared to 980Ti?

Looking forward for some info.

Peace!

1070 is slightly slower in hacked bench compared to 980Ti. Overall Pascals are great, considering power usage (& heat output) - You might be able to save some money by gettign a bit more simple cooler, but if You care about noise hybrid cooler is awesome. Adding 8GB card to what You have already is a great choice, but some users seems to have some issues mixing those cards. I still not sure what that is causing though - try to do search on forums, I'm pretty sure You will be able to find some threads.

Thanks Tom!
Always can count on you if it comes to tech stuff ;)

I'll check this incompatibility issue. If it's that bad, I'll skip Pascal based GPU for now.

Take care!

I'm on the same boat ;) do have TitanBlack under water at home (with 670 driving screens) & looking to add something else.. 1070 makes sense..TitanX (Maxwel) also offers great value, but it's difficult to find. however 6+8GB or 6+12GB makes a big difference for developing heavy scenes.

Remember we didn't like mid-end Kepler (GTX 670/680/770) after my old GTX 480 died. And GTX 1070/GTX 1080 non-Ti too. ;) I liked my old EVGA GTX 780 Ti Classy. :)
