Mulitple Render Nodes, Cameras and IPR

Hi there,

Just starting using Octane after testing out the demo and I love it.

One frustrating thing that I can't figure out how to handle is how do I know WHICH Octane render node does the IPR look at when more than one exist?

I have several 'scenes' set up in one Houdini file and it's confusing me as to what needs to be done so I can preview some frames in Octane's IPR.

Thanks,

Jim

Currently, the IPR shelf icon opens the IPR from the first ROP node found in the scene. The ROP nodes have an "Open IPR" button to launch the IPR from each one if you are working in a scene with multiple ROPs.

Thanks,

Hi Juanjo,

I'd like to know, if in the meantime there's a feature to specify which ROP is used for IPR rendering?

Cheers, Lukas

Only if you open it from the ROP node itself using the "Open IPR" button.

Thanks,

Yeah, I meant if it was possible to specify the one used for the standard IPR feature.
So I'll keep using that ROP-buttons.

Thanks!
