Hello there!
When i am using octane scatter - it crushes very often.
Could you help?

Windows 8.1
Cinema R18
Octane 3.05.3

i7 4790
2x 1080 GTX
32 Gb

Here is the bug report...

Also got some crushes with x-particles simulations - and nvidia drivers... maybe it's OS maybe not... but let's find the octane trouble first =)

I think you meant crashes! If it's re-productable on some scenes with exact steps please post a scene to me. And write some descriptions how to get this!

Thanks for the fast reply!
I am think there is no need to post the scene.. cause every time it happens randomly. Sometimes same scene crashes - sometimes not,
It always happening when i am trying to send a scene with scatter to octane or when i am tweaking the scatter settings on the fly.

It's not happening on me. So we can't help much without catching the crashes. Bugreport is not enough here.

Too bad.
Cause it always randomly - same scene, that crashed 30 mins ago - right now is rendering well.
So from my experiene - scatter crashed even on the previous versions of octane - so probably it's not a plugin (although crash window is telling me so)
What i am trying to find out - is - what is going on) But if crash report is not helping - i don't know what to add - i thought you will tell me - if it's the wrong settings or my system bugs =(

Saying they're random doesn't make any sense. They're propably not random. You should give better info like these.

1- It's happening in renders( LV or PV) or while render windows are not active?
2- How many scatter objects and clones under? And which types?
3- Do you see CUDA errors and what's free VRAM on usage?
4- Have you checked Octane Log and Console windows?
5- Send some screen shots from the time of crashes happened.

I don't know if it's connected to the "scatter trouble" but alomost in 30-40% of time - when i am closing the cinema (no matter what project) - it's crashes.
Here is the report.. maybe it will tell something.

Anything about octane or cinema crash reports?
I just try to find out - is it software or hardware...
