Highlight compression not working anymore

Hey everyone,

I am working on a scene with 3ds max 2017 and Octane 3.05-4.29. I noticed that some of the imager values have no influence on the picture anymore, which wasn't the case in former projects. While Exposure and white balance do still work, Highlight compression, Gamma and Saturation do not. Especially HC is a problem for me, because I often have some overexposed spots.

Is that a known issue?

Greetings

Hi Philipp 1980,
3ds Max camera > imager is in Octane Render setup (checking nonlinear tone mapping)
Octane camera > imager is in 3ds Max modifier panel.

Hi Paride,

thx for your answer.

That was a misunderstanding, I know where to find the settings. I've always been working with Octane Camera Imager settings, which used to work fine (esp. HC), but since my update to the newer versions of Octane, they just don't seem to be working anymore. They simply show no effect at all.

Is there anyone else with this problem? Is that a bug?

Greetings

Ah now I think I got you right  , you meant to enable both? At least I did so and checked the 3ds max gamma hack also --> now the imager settings in the octane camera panel are working again.

I will now try to set up a more complex scene illumination with HDRI and sunlight and see if I can figure it all out...
