Moving objects and updating render viewport

i have a general question, hope to get some insight.
each time geometry is moved, the render engine has to recalculate it resulting in less then ideal workflow.
this goes for lights but not sun system and volumes.
is this going to be adressed anytime soon? it would make world of difference obviously.
