okay so I need a Nvidia with CUDA, nothing new. But if i do not buy them direct from Nvidia but rather form MSI or any other reseller will the quality be the same and what if Nvida only sells their graphics card with 1GB and the reseller with two. Am I taking a risk?

I could be wrong, but I don't think that you can buy a video card made by NVIDIA. You have to buy from a 3rd party reseller (Palit, PNY, MSI, EVGA, Zotac, etc).

NVidia makes the chipsets that go into cards, they don't actually sell cards themselves.

The 'Nvidia' cards are all classed as the reference card - eg, what other brands modify to come up with what makes their model different from the rest.
Each manufacturer usually changes the card in some way like adding better cooling or making it faster (overclocked) or different connections for monitors or quality of parts - some even include free games.
Its also sensible to check out what warranties each brand has. Some are say 1 year whilst others are 3 which obviously would help if the card died.
All in all different brands of the same card are very similar but there are small changes between them.
