OctaneRender® for Maya® 3.05.3 - 9.28 [OBSOLETE]

Otoy® is proud to announce the availability of a new version of OctaneRender™ for Maya®
The world's fastest and most feature-rich unbiased render engine that integrates completely into Autodesk® Maya®.

Maya® Version Requirements

This release will work with Maya® Versions 2015, 2016, 2016.5 and 2017 64-bit on MS Windows operating systems, 2015, 2016, 2016.5 and 2017 64-bit on Linux operating systems, and 2016, 2016.5 and 2017 64-bit on OSX operating systems (including and above 10.9).

COMPATIBILITY AND OCTANERENDER STANDALONE REQUIREMENT

To run OctaneRender™ for Maya®, you need to also have an activated OctaneRender™ Standalone copy activated on the machine you wish to install the plugin onto.
You cannot purchase and use only the Maya plugin and use it without also owning an activated copy of Octan eRender™ Standalone on your machine.

CHANGES SINCE THE PREVIOUS VERSION
  • Batch rendering mode now disables Octane network rendering if Octane is not chosen a scene renderer.
  • Implemented the ability to connect textures to Octane gradient nodes.
  • Minor fixes and improvements...

missing live DB

thanks for the update! Iam missing the live DB tab since version 9.24 i guess. Have i missed something?

Here is how looks a new gradient node now for me :? :

But what did you prefer about the Live DB UI in render setting compared to the one from the Octane Shelf ?
(I know image of shaders were supposed to be cached, but I always found it was still slower than the one from Octane shelf)

Maybe this was just removed on purpose because most of the users are using LiveDB from the Octane shelf button ...

Nevermind: it's the openDB button... I thought that button was something else. All good.
