3ds max viewport and octane preview window

seems like since octane 3 when nothing is selected in 3ds max viewport when you open octane preview it shows the opposite side of what 3ds max viewport window shows.

Sometimes it happens when you use scroll to zoom in/out. Usually you must select and object in the scene and then hit Z to zoom in to it for octane to properly display what 3ds max viewport displays

Thank you

Hi coilbook,
I made some tests about your issue, but failed to verify it.
I tried deleting all cameras on stage, used different kernel, but nothing.
Could you please give me more information?
Have you tried with other scenes? Always it happens?
Regards
Paride

it happens a lot with large scenes like one mile by one mile especially if you use middle scroll to zoom in zoom out

i attached the scene where you can see the problem. when you open it please do not move around 3ds max at all just hit f10 and hten open octane preview window and you will see that viewport image is different from octane

thank you!

Hi coilbook,
yes it happens, you're right.
Personally I think it depends on something around up vector and openGL, in fact, with the Octane camera the issue does not happen.
I will send this curious issue to developers.
thank you
