Per GPU Priority Settings

Just like the standalone version, can we please set Priority settings per GPU? There's really a big waste of GPU power (money) to not be able to independently set priority settings.
In my situation, I only have 2x1080 cards in the current machine, so I either have to put both of them at medium priority or one at full and disable the one running my monitor. In my other computer I had 4x980ti's and I had to leave the one running my monitor completely disabled from rendering. It was really painful knowing I had $800 card doing the job of a $200 card
Has this been a Maya limitation or just a feature that has been neglected?
