Hi

i am on a windows machine and i try to get the V3 installed. but no luck.
i removed old versions, installed 3.04 standalone. on start it asks for username and password. i type those i use for login to this page. it doesn´t accept it. i also tried the cryptic passwords from the licensing page. nothing works. someone told me i have to unlock the license, which i did. but no success.

any ideas someone?

i read a couple of similar threads in the meantime.
it is really confusing. i dont want to use these limited unlock buttons in the web.
i can login into my account on the otoy webpage.

this same login is what i am asked for when i try activate or deactivate via the octane standalone v3 or c4d plugin v3.
but it is not recognized. meanwhile the 2,24 version seems to work.

i have these two license number all titled V3. one was the old V2 the other is the new .

is it a problem to be logged into this forum on another computer while trying to activate V3 on the proper workstation?

i am really stuck there.

Do you have V3 license? What kind of error message do you see after giving username/pass as described in manual?

yes i have.

the error is: sign in error
invalid user name or password.

i am using the same login data for this forum.

you need to enter same user/pass that you used in forum and control panel in this site. Otherwise contact to helpdesk of Otoy.

there seems to be a difference between the sign-in button in the red menu bar and the forum sign-in on the bottom.
somehow my password for the sign-in button must have been messed up. i did a "forgot password" and was able to reset it.
now everything works.
