Possible improments to the batch render script

We use the batch render script a lot and have a couple of possible improvements for it:
1. Would it be possible to add a warning dialog box if you check "save all enabled passes" but don't put "%p" in the file name? I know this is user error but we have done this a couple of times when rushing. It ends up saving the beauty, then saving it over with any passes you have (AO, for instance).
2. Sometimes the batch hangs and can't finish when doing network rendering. Last night one of the slave computers blue screened and when I came in to work my last image was a couple of samples away from finishing but not moving. It used to be that you could cancel the batch and then save that image normally but currently when you cancel the batch script it resets the render and you can't save it.
Would it be possible to either make it so when you cancel, you can then save it or make a button in the script UI to save the current progress of the image?
3. Allow for resolution override like the samples override so you can set your resolution at runtime. That way it is easy to do a batch "High Res".
4. Allow for coherent ratio override. Like the above, this will allow you to easily speed up your batch with little effort.
We are still using the script and not the new batch node, so if these have already been addressed, let me know
Thanks!
