Hi Guys,

A quick request would be possible to have a openvdb reader for Octane plug in case we have to render fluid from a other scene on Octane ? At standalone the volume node right is possible to have a option to load sequences and one openvdb file?

For me I think would be great for workflow in some FX shoots.

Best,
JO

What do you think about a more general "render proxy" feature ?
(this would also load external VDB file either directly or trough an ORBX file)

Yes I think would be great to. For open VDB cases and other situations I think many of this option is kind of instance right? I used to use proxy on Mray for this cases scatter a heavy mesh on maya doing instances of the proxys.

I think also this type of feature would be good to start doing a support at X-gen I think is type of proxys to I'm not sure.

In all cases "proxys" would be a good thing to help viewport and etc. ( Personally I do this with particles instance showing as "bounding box" and viewport works is pretty well with then, Of corse as I said I think should be better )

Great Idea Calus :)
