Hi,
looking around since 20 minutes to find where to download Octane VR but can't find it.
Is it still up there ?

Have You bought subscription? If yes, then download You should see in customer area, once You login into otoy's site /not forum, but into Your account - button on top right corner of the site =)

If You haven't got subscription, then OctaneVr is not available for free now /it was during Render The Metaverse contest & OTOY hinted there might be another one soon after =)

ah ok thx, is this the Octane Render for $ 399 or another Octane VR renderer ?

there are two ways to get OctaneRender, Frank:

a. by buying licence for standalone application & choosing plugin You need one (no limitations)
or
b. getting subscription 20$/month (with limitation of using up to two GPUs & no network rendering option)

Standalone is fully fledged application & I would try it, before getting into plugin, but if You prefer to stay inside host application that's another choice You have. Subscription service is cheaper to start if You wish to try without demo limitations =) Please let me know if You would have any other questions ;)

k cool, im going with the demo for a moment to get all setup thats related.

questions:

1) is this Octane Render to render lightfield ORBX files for VR ?

2) does the ORBX files allow for positional tracking within the "lightfield box" ?

3) are there orbx videos, demo or contest available ?

4) Is there a "getting started" available for rendering VR videos with lightfield ?

5) there once popped up a need to check my Nvidia card for CUDA, now its not coming up anywhere ... not sure if i have CUDA and what it finally used for (realtime render ?)

6) How can i watch my own created VR stuff on Gear VR ?

7) I installed the Octane Render and also the Blender Plugin, but didn't see where Octane is coming up in Blender as render option. How is this to be done ?
