Problem with mesh orientation

Hi all,

When I use the exporter, octane always open the .obj with wrong coordinates (as z would be x).

I mean that sun is not on the top but on the left of the scene. This is a serius problem because I cannot move the cam as I should, and I cannot use the "north offset" tool to put the sun in its correct place since the north moves up and down, not left or right.

Anyone experiencing this?

It happens for me with all of my 3DS models. For Sketchup it doesn't happen (sun and ground are where they should be)

Thanks

I know, at least for blender, that it must rotate the mesh 90 degrees before exporting as an obj. Blender has an option for this during export, maybe 3ds max has some similar setting?

It was as you said: in 3D Studio, while exporting to .OBJ, there is a checkbox to "Flip Z/Y axis" that solves the problem.

Thanks
