Hi all,
I wish to use one GEFORCE GTX 1080 and a GEFORCE GTX 1070 on a Mac 2013 running Octane, anyone may advise me an PCI enclosure for these cards?
Thanks!

hi,
if You would take a better look into forums (maybe use search functionality writing MAC + eGPU, You can come to
this). To give a fast overview here are few points.
Pascal based cards might not work for now as they should, Last time I've checked there were some issues with unavailable drivers, etc. I would stick with older cards instead (TitanX or 980Ti) based on Maxwell architecture.
As for number of cards, You better go with least amount possible & then build render node. It would be more stable & less headache..since eGPU is not something that works out of the box. It's rather a workaround to say the least.
as for enclosres them self if You want want somethign out of the shelf that would be able to house more than one card.. You would be looking close to 2k$, while for single GPU You can have something for 1k$ and even less You like to tinker with hardware (buying Akitio thunder2 & re-purposing it for EGPU).
There are a lot of different products but without knowing what You need & what You're willing to spend it's hard to recommend. Give some more information & I'll find some or examples to look for.

Thanks for the kind reply,
understood all you wrote, now I'll read the thread you sent to me. My goal was to figure out if it's possible (and convenient?) to use Octane on a mac 2013 rather than configure and purchase a PC platform.
