Octane crashes when saving render

I need to render a very large image. It's 16000x8000 Pixels large. Everything works fine until i want to save the image. Modo just freezes. So i wasted 10h of rendering. Is there anything i can do to save the rendering in this frozen state? I use the latest plugin. Thanks in Advance!
Edit: Ok I think i don't have enough Ram. But it would be nice if there was a warning before i start the render

hi there,
sorry to hear Your bad experience.
I know this would not solve Your problem (as You noticed that might be due to lower amount of ram), but as You're working with higher resolutions, simply render that split in two or three parts. Take smaller camera area & use camera shift feature to move rendered field without changing vanishing point. Render with some overlaying areas & stitch final image in post =)
As mention it would not solve Your problem, but It would at least allow to finish Your project now.

As you suspect, Modo or Octane is running out of RAM during save process. The plugin cannot detect an out of memory situation inside Octane, so not something I can fix on the plugin side.

Thank you for your fast answers! Thats even more remarkable since it was on a Sunday. Thats awesome!
I solved this issue by rendering for some seconds and trying to save the image. If it crashes at this early state i don't need to waste several hours
