Mapping colour onto an Octane Scatter object?

Is is possible to colour an octane scatter object with a texture?

I know octane scatter works a lot like a cloner, but I can't figure this one out or even know if it's possible.

The image below shows a cloner on the left with a gradient applied, then an octane scatter object on the right, trying to apply a gradient in the same way - but not working...

Image

I can make the scatter object display random colours for each 'clone', but can I map a texture to the scatter object as a whole somehow, as I can with a traditional C4D cloner?

Thanks!

Have you checked scatter scenes? It's not possible as you wish but it has a distribution functionality to clone the childs by texture colors. It may help. Your wish will come after some improvements in the renderer core.

Thanks a lot for the reply Aoktar! I'll take a look at the scatter scenes you mention and see if I can work something out :)

Where are those scenes exactly? I am also missing the possibility to color scatter objects using textures/images
