Hey guys, thanks for taking the time.
I currently own a GTX 1080 card and was wondering if I purchase a second card such as the GTX 1070/1060, will rendering performance be affected greatly as compared to 2x GTX 1080?

1070 and 1060 are both SLOWER than 1080 but it will render faster in total since Octane is pretty much linear in render speed so the more GPUs you add the faster it renders.
Just be aware if you add 1060 and use it with 1080 you will have only 6GB VRAM available (or even just 3 if you buy GTX 1060 3GB version) 'cot RAM is not added 'coz each GPU has to get same data and by that you have available as your lowest GPU VRAM is. So in your case i'd go for 1070 due having also 8GB VRAM like 1080 has.

Understood, thanks Lewis! That is really helpful to know.
