Slaves not showing up in Network

Has anyone had issues where GPUs aren't being recognized in your network render prefs window in C4D or the standalone?
I had this issue with V2 and after upgrading to V3, the problem just went away, but after updating to the newest versions of the C4D plugin and standalone today, the problem is back...
I am running C4D Octane on my mac which is networked with my PC that has Octane Standalone installed. Firewall has been disabled on both, but that was never actually an issue before. Both are running the same versions, with the correct port (48000).
Another side issue I've had when trying to install the slave daemon on my mac I keep getting this error -
32:177: execution error: Terminal got an error: cp: /Applications/.OctaneRender Daemon *.app: No such file or directory (1)
I'm honestly just at a loss, this is the most frustrating thing in the world. Any help would greatly be appreciated!
