Camera depth pass for Frischluft

Hi,

Looking to export the Octane camera DOF pass for compositing in AE with Frischluft. So I need an image pass where the DOF isn't baked into the image.
Is it possible to do this on one render with Octane / C4D?

In the standard C4D renderer you render an image plus depth then re-composite in After effects doing post-DOF with the frischluft plugin. Is this possible with octane?
Seems there is only a Z-depth option which is more for fog / environment and not camera depth.

Hi reidheath,
in Octane you have to disable the dof and use the Z Depth pass.
Take into account that the Z Depth max value works in meters, so you can insert the precise focus distance.

Hey

The z-depth is just coming out white in the picture viewer but shows depth gradient in the preview window when i select z-channel?
I've put a plane in the background in octane as I though it was because of infinite sky?

RESOLVED!

Had to select tonemapped in the tonemap type dropdown.
This seems to be a new setting for v.30.

Bit of a nightmare!!

LV shows as tonemapped. Note this.
