Material Preview Stops Working

Has any one seen this behavior in Standalone 3.03.4? I noticed that if I use Render Region, that if I go back in to work on a texture or material, the material preview no longer works (just a black image), and the time counter is moving super fast. Even if I stop the render and clock, if I click on a material or object node, the same thing happens and the preview image is still black. The counter never times out. I have to to get out of Octane and restart it to get normal behavior back.

OK, I stumbled on a partial solution but I think this is a bug. If after using render region, when I go back to do a material preview by clicking on a material or an object, the problem starts. If I use a render region for the material preview to cover the entire image area, I get material preview functionality back. That's great, but if I go back to my scene, the render region I was using then is now replaced with the one I needed to get material preview back!
