Yesterday and today I was doing a study on this sort of lighting and I really liked the result I got after many hours of work, part of this study was to also improve my pipeline in post-production.

Hello guys so yeah the trick is basically use a black body emission with a couple of textures in the texture slot I was really careful with the way the textures show up this are some screenshots of the node grapths for the emission and the plastic.
I also want to note that this setup it's incomplete since I also need to create a specular component to the tube for when it's turn off.

Of course you are gonna wonder why so many layers of noises if they can't be really seem in the renders but they are actually there when you lower the exposure of the scene witch I think it really adds to the reality of the tubes, this are some renders without the post-production and without the volumetrics (I used a light fog for each light in the final)
