removing all Octane materials in scene

Hi everyone,

does someone has a trick to remove all Octane materials in
a scene?
One of my clients who does'nt use Octane wants to open a scene i've made and tells me he can't
open it because of Octane plugin missing, he's on Mac Os and this makes its LW crashes.
The big point is that there's a bunch of objects and surfaces in this scene, if anyone had an idea
to avoid me spending two hours deleting these materials :)
(the surfaces has also LW classic materials attached to them so i can't just copy/paste a basic
surface on them)
Big thanks to all

Olivier

The best workaround is to install the Octane demo in the your client computer. You don't need a license to load/save scenes with Octane materials, the demo plugin should be enough.

Thanks,

Found a quick fix for this :

open the node editor of one of your objects, delete all octane nodes,
add a simple LW node (like Scalar for example) close the editor
right click on the surface you just edited and copy
Then select all the surface on which you need to remove the Octane nodes,
right click on them and select Paste nodes.
De-select the Edit nodes button to have only the classic LW tabs activated
and that's it, nodes removed but textures untouched.
Don't forget to backup your Octane objects before :)

Thanks Juanjo,

i could suggest my client to do so, but i would spend two hours
explaining him how to install it :)

Yes, true. I was thinking that you had also LightWave nodes in the material editor.
