.duf data corrupted?

Hi, I have a scene with material set up, lately every time I open the scene the materials are not correctly assigned even though I have "load materials from .duf" checked. But no big deal, I just select all and "create new maeterials" -> from embedded data.

However now I open the scene and this option is greyed out. I still have some files of this scene where it is working, is there some way to transfer the .duf data? I am really not looking forward to linking 250 materials, especially with the history of my changes not saving...

edit: to maybe clarify, the materials are present but not linked to the objects.

edit2: Ok, I rechecked, the materials are not there.

Right, sorry about that:

DAZ 4.92.7.0 Pro
Octane 3.01.1b
Plugin R3.2.0.23

edit: I updated to Octane 3.03.3 and plugin 3.3.3.24, I can see the materials now but it wont let me auto-assign them from .duf data.

You might need to assign the materials then save the .duf. Since the file references in your current .duf might be incorrect due to a bug in the plugin (fixed in 3.0.22.23).

Ok, but another issue is that some of my settings are not saving, for example the "Load OctaneRender materals [sic] from .duf user presets" checkbox. I check this, save, reload the scene and it is unchecked.

That is a preference which is not saved in the .duf file. The reset the preferences, see question 8 at https://docs.otoy.com/manuals/products/ ... ction/faq/.
