Emulating anamorphic lens octane render blender

Hello all, I was just wondering what the best way of emulating an anamorphic squeeze lens. Im assuming maybe to render it with a special resolution. From my knowledge of recent research, because film is fairly new to me, these anamorpic lenses "squeeze" the image which in turn gives it that hollywood cinematic look that a lot of the hollywood movies are using.
youtube search:
blackmagic production camera anamorphic

watch a couple of videos and youll see what im talking about.

How can i achieve this in octane render, and mind you I will be green screening actors into octane render scene, should i shoot the green screen footage with an anamorphic lens?

Thanks

Hi adamrg7,
from v2, Octane Camera has two values for what you want to obtain:
  • Pixel Aspect Ratio
This allows users to stretch or squash the Depth of Field disc and render to a non-square pixel format (like NTSC or PAL).
  • Aperture Aspect Ratio
This allows users to stretch/squash the Depth of Field disc.
Look at this post by abstrax about this argument:
