Octane unable to detect slave

May I ask why sometimes some of my PC unable to detect any slaves, even it's available or unavailable, it should still be on the list.
But my slave list is empty.

I have a few octane render, all running in same version of Octane 3.03, Windows 7
and firewall disabled as well, and running on LAN cable.

Hope someone could shed some light. Thanks guys :)

Cheers

Hi cmttat,
do you have more than one net adapter in your Master?
Please, could you enable the logging in Master and Slaves like described here?

It would be useful to understand what is going on in your particular case, thanks.

Hi bepeg4d,

There is only one network LAN cable plugged to the PC, and goes a wall ethernet port, which goes to the modem.

I've tried the above method, however I couldn't see any slaves, does this even logs if the master doesn't see the slaves?
It only happens to 3 of our 12 PCs on certain time.

Let me know how can I help you more

Cheers,
CQ

Hi cmttat,
if you have correctly placed the two .txt log files in the Octane directory, you should see more verbose messages in the slave window and in the log window in the master.
To be able to save the log as a txt file to send it back to us, you have to copy the OctaneRender Standalone folder in another location than the Program folder where that is not write protected.
Another option could be that the issue comes from the Firewall
Have you already check this?
Wait a moment, 12 PC with at least 2 GPU gives 24 GPU...
Did you know that Octane has a limit of 20 GPU per master?
If you have more than 20 GPU, you have to set up two different masters with several specific slaves for each one.
