difuse with SSS ?

Hello,
when i add a Scattering in the medium, nothing change.
there are a lot of skin shader with difuse and sss, but they dont work in 3dsmax.
why ?

You can easily make a sss diffuse material.
Here a file with a sample material.

it seems this does not work wen using AO. is it normal?
