Hi, can someone post an example of how to create low lying groundfog in Octane for Lightwave?
Thanks

I suppose that the new Octane 3 volumetrics could be used to render this kind of effects ... something like this fast example.
Thanks,

Perfect, thank you.
Is there any way you could go into a bit more detail. I am really new to Octane, only purchased a couple of weeks ago.
Thanks

I still can't get this to work, I've followed the screen captures you showed but I get no changes to my scene at all.
Very disappointed in Octane right now.

Have you checked the attached scene? It should be a good starting point.

Thank you Juanjo, working great with your screenshots, didn't even need to load the scene

And it is surprisingly fast, even for me who is already used to Octane's speed

Fog is usually something that takes long time to render but this is matter of minutes (of course depends on complexity of the scene but in general)
It takes some time to do the first load but after that it is normal Octane

I really am dumb, I didn't even see there was an attached scene file. LOL
Thanks juanjgon

I have Octane 3.03.2.0 and I do not have the Octane_Volumetrics custom object (but I do have Octane_Object_Properties) . Everything else appears to work fine under Lightwave 2015.3.
So, obviously when I attempt to load one of the demo/example files, I get an error 'No plug-in of type CustomObjHandler found with name Octane_Volumetrics. Would you like to load it from disk?'
Any ideas regarding how to resolve this?
Thanks for your time and consideration.

You need to add the plugin .p file to the Layout to get all the included plugins and nodes. Be aware that you must remove the Octane master plugin from the mater plugins panel before add the plugin.

Of course, I already applied the LWOctane_3.0_2015.3_x64.p file to get all of the other Octane plugins. I decided to remove every Octane relate plugin (manually) and re-add the LWOctane_3.0_2015.3_x64.p (140 plugins). But this time I have the missing plugin 'Octane_Volumetrics', which was the ONLY one missing before. Odd..
Thanks anyway..
