ipr windows conferms the problem... 1gb of vram seems to get lost

Are you using windows 10? (W10 is eating vram)

yes i am..but since the monitors are plugged on an another card it shouldnt have any influence wathsoever..imo

If you are using Windows 10 it standard eats vram....
it is a known issue.. you can loot at these threads:

thank you...but this really sucks and should be solved asap....and the solution could not certainly be to go back to an obsolete OS such win7

has anyone tried and used the last version of octane with win 7 ? With win 7 and last build of lw plugin Octane works properly? or maybe the problem is related on octane development instead on windows
i mean: are we sure that the problem lies on windows?

I have tested on windows 8 (not 8.1) and it's much better, uses/reserves lot less RAM on there, same as on win7 so it is Microsoft win10 (apparently 8.1 also) new "Feature".
