Alpha Shadows in directlight

Hi, im want to know if can i create alpha shadows in directlight instead of pathtracing. im using OR pre-beta 2.43 - 2 February 2011 (intermediate) thanks for help.

Unfortunately- you can't in directlighting mode. Though this feature is too much desirable...
