Demo not running with GeForce GT130M

Hi

Yesterday i downloaded and installed the Octane demo but when i try to start it i just get an error message saying "No Cuda Capable Devices Found, Exiting..."

I got a NVIDIA GeForce GT130M which is capable of CUDA (according to the NVIDIA website http://www.nvidia.com/object/cuda_gpus.html) and latest drivers for it.

I think Octane is a real great project and if i could try it i'm pretty sure i would invest the 99€ but there is no reason for buying a software which won't run on my system.

Have you tried installing last drivers?
First you could try with developers drivers and CUDA 3.0

If it doesnt work try with the last geforce drivers

Cheers

Which operating system are you using? On Windows you need to install a recent ForceWare drive, like 258.xx or 260.xx. If that doesn't work, maybe one of those "Verde" drivers might help: http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook_drivers.html

On the other hand: You will not have a lot of fun with Octane on these mobile GPUs as they are really slow compared to current GeForce cards (GeForce 400 and 500 series), even compared to the older GeForce 200 series.

Cheers,
Marcus

Yeah i know that i don't have the newest graphics card but do you think GPU rendering on a GT130M will be slower than CPU rendering? (2,66GHz Dualcore) If so it would be pretty useless to me (at the moment) :(
